A Normal And Interesting Scene At Most Of The Traffic Lights In Malaysia

Wanna know what, here you go:

Scene 1
Either a car (that includes MPV, SUV or van), a lorry or a bus is trying to cut queue, trying his or her luck to cut in front of the first car waiting and create a new lane while the existing 2 lanes are not enough (for that stupid driver). The best part is, there will be some other assholes (other cars) at the back to follow.

Scene 2
Let say you are at a T-junction roads. If there is one lane green, and the rest are still red, you can see there are a few motorbikers (who are supposed to stop and wait) just couldn't be bothered to stop and straight they go. Mmm.. perhaps these jokers already live too long and ready to die anytime. Their preferred type of how-to-die is by hitting them hard in the head by a car or even better a bus or lorry.

Scene 3
At the same T-junction just now, there are also some cars who act just like their motorbikers counterpart earlier - couldn't be bothered to stop. Funny but true.

Scene 4
Drivers who love to do sms. They are so into it, until the green traffic light in front of them is ready to turn yellow and red again.

We know there are some other scenes, but these are the top 4. Enjoy !

When Granny Becomes Nanny

When we talk about living in Kuala Lumpur, everybody will try to squeeze every single way of preventing anymore expenses out. Granny becomes nanny in KL is now become a trend. These KL people do have gut and with no shame to go back to their parents or mothers and ask them to become their nanny – temporarily (read: permanently).

One simple example is one of our own relatives. Rinaz is a working woman, single parent with two (2) daughters. After a year or so separating from her husband, she is still struggling to settle down financially and living on a single income. After each and every thing possible was being cut, she is still left with a deficit in her account.

So, guess who needs to come in and save the day. Her mom. The granny. This poor 60-something senior citizen’s help was needed only for a few months. But it has been a year plus now. 3 – 4 years ago, her maid was stolen by this same daughter (also ‘temporary’ word was mentioned as well at that time).

Now, after a few years, the daughter needs her help (again). Now, the daughter is about to steal her own mother’s retirement time – to become her nanny. This nanny comes with a package – a financial aid. Since she stayed with her daughter, she is covering some of her daughter’s monthly groceries expenses as well. Not only that, she has to pay also for her daughter’s maid salary and also become a full-time (but unpaid) nanny when the maid is busy with cooking and cleaning up the house. With her small monthly pension income and energy left, she has no choice but to just do it.

Who is going to compensate this poor lady? Wanna know the answer, pretty easy – no one. Well done, another round of raising children and babies after raising her own 30 - 40 years ago.

Rinaz didn’t blame herself for what had happened , but instead blamed the economy, government, opposition parties, fuel pricing, her ex-husband, bla bla bla…. The real victim who suffers – the nanny.

Do You Realize That You Are Paying Protection Money Every Month?

A few years ago, protection money is being paid by hawkers, stall owners and even shop owners to some kind of thugs or some bunch of gangsters each month. These business owners just want to avoid any problems with them even though these thugs don't really protect them from I-don't-know-what. In other words, if this money is not paid, then the hawkers will be in some kind of trouble.

This was long time ago kind of story (but I think in some places, it is still happening). But now, today, do you realized that each month almost every Malaysian pays protection money to the 'security companies' for our house's and our own safety? We don't think you realized this, but it is a protection money we are paying here.

It has been quietly legalized. If you want to know, these security companies mostly are being run by gangsters. Here is their standard modus operandi. First, they will create some 'break-in' cases in some of the targeted residential areas. Second, make one hell of a news out of these break-in stories. Third, proposed to the residential so-called committee to engage one security company to help secure the area with a monthly fee. These gangsters do own some security companies (legally) and somehow just proposed one to these residents. Finally, all parties agreed and the monthly payment starts and so is the 'security works'.

What do they do, almost nothing. During the day the assigned 'security guards' (some are from Indonesian, Bangladesh and others) just wait at each entrance and let all vehicles in. Those drivers just waive their hand only, instead of being interviewed of where to go and so on. During the night, same story. Some, they also do their rounds within the neighbourhood but that is it.

We are not very sure whether our own government realizes this or not, but most of these security companies are owned by gangsters. Maybe they need to do something about it. How do we know this? Easy, all information are coming from the security guards themselves. We don't think also they were lying.

Of course, everybody in Malaysia wants to feel safe. But do we have to pay for our own safety. If we are paying, then something is wrong with this country.. What do you think?

"I Sleep Only 1 Hour Each Day".

Early last week, to get out of our ‘boring-ness’ in the office, we bought ourselves 2 slick LCD televisions for our office from Courts Mammoth. The 40” Samsung Series 6 Full HD was purchased for upstairs rest area and the other one is also same Samsung Full HD, but 32” that is meant for downstairs main rest area. Sometimes, being boring can be very dangerous – to the pocket.

But, just can’t help it okay, we were pressured by the surrounding communities. It seems that we are one of the last people on earth to own LCD television. When almost all our friends are laughing when they see our existing televisions, then it's a sign. Anyway frankly, those televisions are really amazing with their sharp images, their powerful functionalities and some other cool features. (This is just to justify the buying purposes only).

Anyway, last Friday, the delivery man came over to deliver the 40” first as the other one is out of stock and will be delivered sometimes this week. This 30-something year old Indian chap reached our office about 2.30pm and began to unload and install that thing upstairs. While doing his work, he was chatting with us about his life and how difficult to make a living lately. His PR was good. His both pairs of hand is working on the installation, while the mouth also ‘working’ - talking to us.

“Encik Azleen, you tau dak, saya ini kerja sampai pukul 12 malam woo hari-hari. Nanti balik saya tidur 1 jam. Bangun pukul 1 lebih, mandi lepas tu terus keluar pergi itu pejabat The Star di Petaling Jaya sana. Kasi itu ambik surat khabar semua, hantar pergi Kajang/Bangi area sana. Sampai pukul 8 lebih pagi macam tu, pegi sana Courts Mammoth pula. Ada list mana mau hantar barang, terus jalan. Hari-hari ini macamla kerja. Family pun jarang jumpa. Tapi sedihla boss, hari-hari tidur 1 jam pun duduk rumah flat jugak..”

(Mr Azleen, you know. I work like this till 12am everyday. Once done, I go back home and take a sleep for 1 hour. Then wake up at about 1am something, take a bath, then straight out to The Star office (the newspaper company) in Petaling Jaya. Grab all the newspapers there and send them to Kajang/Bangi dealers there. Those delivery will be settle by 8am something. Then I’ll head straight to Courts Mammoth office. They’ll give me a delivery list for that particular day and out I go. This is my routine, day in day out. I hardly see my own family you know. The sad thing is, I sleep only 1 hour each day, but still live in a low-cost flat..)

Then, we realize one thing. It’s really tough out there to make a decent living and there are people who are not as fortunate as we are. So, be grateful of what we have.

Are We Trapped?

Yesterday we had a meeting in CP Tower, Petaling Jaya where several well-known companies like Siemens, Bernas and a few other multinational organizations are based. We arrived just on-time for our meeting at 3pm. We drive straight into the parking lot located at the basement of the building.

The meeting went on pretty smoothly (close to 1.5 hours okay) and together with a tea session in the San Francisco Coffee down there with the customer, it ended up like almost 6pm that evening. The project was not that big, but very critical to us to secure it.

After shaking hands with them, we were about to leave for home. Now, here is the best part. We slot in the parking card into the machine and the screen were showing close to RM 20.00 number over there. We were like.. dammnn. This is not only expensive, but damn expensive and ridiculous.

We went outside and have a look at the charges board near the entrance of the parking. Wanna know what does it say? Somehow this parking is operated by a company called Secure Parking, but obviously our pocket is not secured at all. The charges are 1st hour is RM 3.50 and the subsequent half and hour is a whopping RM 2.50 and frankly we were stunned!

First of all, it is interesting to find out about the expensiveness of all the parking rate over there in the CP Tower as well as other parts of Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and also other big cities within Malaysia. And it is more interesting if let say we opt to park outside of the building (illegally) and yet we also must pay - the police or local authority's summons.

The conclusion is, not matter where you park in Malaysia your money is definitely gone. Legal and illegal, say bye-bye to your money. It's like we are being trapped by the law. So, a piece of advise to you and to ourselves here. Let's not wait for the government to help us. Obviously that is not gonna happen.

Those Crazy Utility Bills.

..Today in The Star newspaper there is one interesting story. The Minister of Energy Water and Communication will be presenting to the Cabinet on a proposal to INCREASE the electricity tariff/rate.

Yup, yup.. 'they' will flash out to us that Malaysia is having the lowest tariff in the world. Malaysian is enjoying the lowest toll rate in the world. Malaysian is enjoying one of the lowest rate in water. Malaysian is enjoying the lowest telephone rate in the world. Malaysian is enjoying one of the lowest fuel price in the world. Malaysian is enjoying the cheapest bla..bla..bla..

Let's cut the crap. According to these jokers, they have to increase the tariff because of the cost of getting the what-ever resources to create the electricity or to maintain and operate those equipments are high in cost. As a normal citizen, we are struggling to even pay for the damn food, house and clothes. What the h*'ll were they thinking?

But do they know that, instead of straight-away hiking up the bloody tariff and let people like us pay, they can always look inside their own company first. Those top GLCs has tremendous leaks in their daily/monthly operational costs:

1. Too many company-own cars + drivers
2. Too lavish on maternity benefit to employees (no limit to the number of children, all fully paid)
3. Too lavish on benefits to the senior + middle management
4. High basic pay but stagnant productivity (non-availability of KPI-incentives benefits)
5. Loopholes in claim management - even playing golf is claimable if it is done 'correctly'
6. Many more..

So, boys and girls. Start your savings okay, they will make us pay..

Stress? Just Watch Russell Peters Talk Show

Yesterday we had a meeting and presentation in Pos Malaysia Bhd. The meeting started off at 10am and somehow was put into a long-break at 11.30am and to resume again at 2.30pm. Since everyone just had a nice lunch, nobody were feeling hungry. So, what one of our colleague did was putting up a video of this guy, Russell Peters talk show.

This bloody Indian (but born and breed in Canada) comedian really can talk. And he is damn funny too okay. We just don't know how to share with you more about it, just google out for Russell Peters. Check out all his jokes. Mannn, you're gonna love it. With his f***ing racist jokes, seriously boys and girls, all your problems will be gone !

Is Your Children Homeless?

Why? Because you and your wife are so damn busy with office work, with corporate careers. You are on top of your game now. Woke up at 6am, left home to office has to be before 7am to beat the traffic jam. Got yourself into the office and get swarm by all the office work and deadlines. Then, it is already like 8pm at night. Want to leave office, the traffic jam is still there so finally you got off around 9pm plus. It is already like 10pm when you reach home. One good thing though, your wife is slightly better than you, she reached home by 7pm. 3 hours early than you. By this time, your children is already long gone in bed.

So, what happen to your children? Aaahh, the maid can help taking care of them. That is why you pay her for anyway. Besides cooking and cleaning up the house, her job scope is to assist your children right from they wake up in the morning, to their breakfast, their school uniforms, their homework, their everything..

Cool, a healthy lifestyle you're having right there. This is what we call the homelessness feeling. Your children is suffering it, can't you see? We are pretty sure about it.

They are very lonely. Yup, they are all look very innocently happy, but inside damn lonely. They need you. They need you very badly. But you are useless, you sub-contract your role to your maid. Your children wants to share what they do in school, their stories in school, what they like in school, who their friends are in school, how they were scolded in school, who their favourite teachers are, and many more. What is wrong with you?

Yes we know money is very important. Money is now rank number 2, after God. In Kuala Lumpur, even a slightest move will cost you money. Yes we also know that more money generate from working or business transaction you do. We know all these.

But frankly, do you think more work equals to more money? Or, is it very important to target that higher kind of lifestyle in the expense of your children and family happiness? Or, is it life-work balance is more important?

It is all depends on you now. All the questions here goes back to you for answers. Just remember one thing. Whatever your decisions are, be careful. Your children will be affected by these answers of yours either positively or negatively - not now, but in the future.

So, what are you going to do?

Can’t You All See, There’s No More Public Beaches In Malaysia

We went to Cherating, Pahang early last month for a short holiday. The journey was great, the ambience was cooling, the beach was pretty inviting, the seafood restaurants are everywhere and Kuantan city itself (nearest city) is not bad at all. Quite a number of new shopping complexes pop up out of no where. No wonder it is one of the preferred holiday spots in Malaysia.

Exactly 2 weeks after that, we went to Port Dickson. Lots of people there too, just like Cherating. As usual, most of the cars we saw were KL and Selangor folks. 2 weeks after Port Dickson trip, we went to Penang. 4.5 hours drive from KL. Love all the food there, kind of unique and taste great.

We notice one thing funny. It seems that most of the strategic located beaches in these 3 holiday hotspots are all ‘taken’ by those hotels and resorts that are located right there. The way these hotel jokers built the hotel and resorts as if those beaches are theirs. If you are thinking of just going to the beach, enjoy the sea for a few hours with your family and then heading back to your hotel or friend’s house (which is not located at the beach-side), you can forget it.

It’s pretty hard to find. This phenomenon is nationwide, not only in Cherating, Port Dickson and Penang. It is everywhere in Malaysia. Pity our fellow middle class and lower countrymen. Working hard for the country, paying lots of money in taxes, paying lots of money on fuel, tolls and others that contributed back to the wealth of the country and yet being punished by their own country. They are being punished just simply because they are not able to afford the hotel and resort which is located right in front of the best beach in that area so that their family and children can enjoy it.

Open your eyes and see for yourself. In Malaysia there are less and less of beaches for public lately. If there are, the location and the condition of that beach are pretty suck, crowded and not the best in quality. The best ones are all taken.

Will or can the government do something about it? While the government is figuring out (only if they are going to), we just have to get use to that corner of the beach that is full of crab (read: crap).

Parents, Hear Us Out - Kidnapping Cases In Primary Schools Are At Alarming Rate

Listen. If you have children who are schooling, irregardless whether they are in primary and/or secondary school, please be extra careful. There are several kidnapping attempts going on lately and this trend is getting pretty sickening and alarming especially in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

It seems that those kidnappers are brave enough to go into the school compound and canteen to accomplish their task. Some are also daring enough to wait till the right moment which is during the school time ends. The moment these children are waiting for parents or school bus to fetch them up for home, is a perfect timing to kidnap.

So parents, teachers, schools’ security guards, gardeners and headmasters/headmistress please and please open your eyes and be alert. Please help to step up your schools’ security aspects. Please close all the school entrance from outsiders. Please seek any visitor to get a security pass from the school’s guard, then accompany the visitors to the destinations within the school areas.

For parents, don’t just take it easy. Don’t just focus on your business, high-paying jobs and meetings. Don’t just think of money all the time. Don’t just leave this to your maids, school bus drivers and teachers. You are their parents and you are ranking number 1 in terms of responsibility. If you love your kids, put high attention and alert on this one above everything else.

Please and please advise your children not to talk or follow any strangers. Please take all the necessary effort to avoid any unwanted thing to happen. We obviously do not want to repeat all the kidnapping cases that happened before happen to us.

You do not want to be in the same shoes as those parents whose children are still missing. You even can’t imagine how depress they are right now. The feeling of losing a child is unbearable.

Ministry of Natural Resources Malaysia: The Latest TV Advertisement Educating People On The Environment.

The main objective of this TV advertisement is pretty noble but again, this is just a waste of time and money. Again, as we all said before, educating Malaysian is a waste of time, waste of resources and money too.
This ministry and the Malaysian government in general somehow failed to understand this. They had been educating the Malaysian people on various matters like drugs, cigarettes, smoking in public, drink and drive, road safety, helmet wearing for motor bikers, throwing rubbish, environment and lots of other stuffs for years but regrettably to say that they are all failed - miserably. To our (normal people) eyes, these not only failed miserably, the taxpayers’ money (our money) had all gone down the drain – if not millions of ringgit, billions of them.

Malaysian, (as we are all aware again) they are not educating-prone type of people. They need to be ENFORCED. Lots and lots of enforcement. Malaysian people need to be put under a strict law, rule and regulations as well as hefty or heavy punishment. “If you do this, you’ll go to jail or do community services for certain number of hours)”. This is the only way. If you wish to enforce a FINE RM500 IF YOU THROW RUBBISH HERE, you can do it but make sure that you really enforce it. Don’t just put a signboard and that's it. It's just not going to work.

Malaysian government needs to follow exactly what Singaporean Government did to their people. Enforce and punish. These are the only ways to educate them. Now it is time to do the enforcing strictly and stop all the educating works right away. Can’t you all see, it’s just didn’t work..

Malaysian Politicians: Everyone Wants More Power. They Thought Power and Money Can Be Brought Together Into Their Graves

If we understood correctly, people get involve in politics because they wish to help people in their community. There are problems and issues to be solved, lots of them. They are being elected by their own people because the person or representative comes from a good background, trustworthy and sincere as well as efficient in completing their tasks.

Nowadays, these politicians seemed to be pretty weird. Weird in the sense that they are not sure anymore what their objectives are, their job priorities, attitudes are like school children (as we all can see from TV during their parliamentary sessions, and being selfish – proposing their own names to become a candidate and stuff like that. The most important thing aspect that we find it pretty weird is that their credibility are pretty much questionable and yet their names are being proposed to be a candidate for the election.

We guess, it is pretty hard to find a real politician in Malaysia. The unsung hero’s kind of type we would say. Of course, there are few out there, but pretty rare. Unlike this type, the rest of them (almost all of them) are in politics due to power, projects, fame and money.

At the end of the day, while all of them are fighting among themselves for these material things, we are struggling hard ourselves in coping with life.

Jaring Vs TMNet (Again)

We just heard this. Not very sure whether it is still rumours or a fact, but the news came from a reliable resource within LTAT (Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera). We overheard it a few days ago. We are in the process of checking the validity of it now, but so far all information seemed accurate.

It is understood that one of a company under the LTAT umbrella is in the process of buying a majority stake in Jaring. If you do not know, Jaring is another broadband provider besides TM Net whom at the moment is a so-called monopoly in terms of customer based.

LTAT is a holding company of two local conglomerates namely Perwira Affin as well as Boustead. It is a cash rich Malaysian ex-servicemen (army) organization in Malaysia.

We know that once the deal is sealed, we believe that the new Jaring will be stronger than ever and TM Net will be in a deep trouble (or maybe not so deep, we don’t know yet). To date, TM Net is still the ‘king of internet service provider’. Regardless of how good or shitty their services are, consumers basically have no choice but to swallow while diligently pay our bills at the end of the month.

We think with the new Jaring, TM Net dominants in the local market will definitely be affected and the most welcome news is that Malaysian finally can have options. We hope that the news is real so that we can enjoy our choices.

There is another two players which seem to be still the underdog coming out strongly. They are Time dotCom and Green Packet P1 WiMAX. TIME has the most established fiber networks nationwide compared to the rest of the service providers. But somehow they are still in the process of restructuring themselves internally. Definitely this will take time since the new CEO just on board a few months back. Green Packet P1 is also getting pretty aggressive lately with their latest promotions on their modems and broadband speed. At the moment, besides Klang Valley, they have set their foot in Penang already.
With these competitors, TM Net will definitely feel the heat. A heat of customers moving on to another service provider if they still taking their quality of service lightly. One good thing is, they are no longer a so-called monopoly.

All we want is just to enjoy a reasonable speed of internet at a reasonable charge. That’s all. With this development of ‘un-monopolying’ the market, we hope our wish will come true..

2009 And Onwards: Either You Start A Business Of Your Own Or ‘Die Standing’.

Why? Why not, and because you and your spouse may get fired from your job this month, that’s the reason why. There seems to be no other choice for you and for everyone but to prepare for the worst.
As you know, the time is pretty bad now. The global recession this time may prolong right up till mid-2010. Every industry player are already cutting back some expenses, cutting back some working days, cutting off some people's 'head' and other means possible in order to reduce unnecessary costs. If you are in Penang, Ipoh, Shah Alam, Klang or Johor Bahru, then you may already hear some bad news happening in the manufacturing plants over these cities.

A question for you, are you going to do something now or wait until the firing day happens? Here is another question for you. Can you live your daily life with one income, if anything were to happen to your job or your spouse’s?

Now let’s think of what type of business that you should be in. Since you are a shy person and hate meeting up with people, you are not a salesman type of person, you don’t have much time to spend on this business due to work and so do your spouse and most of all there is not much cash in the savings account for initial capital investment as well as for monthly operating expenses, here is the only type of business suitable for you – Internet based or online business.

Here are some benefits of the internet-based business that we think are cool. Not only you have a whole wide world as your potential customers, you’ll be filthy rich if just a fraction of them turns to be your customers. And hey, you don’t have to meet them personally. Just courier them the goods and communicate with them via email or instant messaging. Great stuff. The best thing, minimum capital investment and not much time spent each day on the business. You can even monitor it from your office or anywhere that has a web access. Cool right?

First, think carefully and discuss with your spouse what’s to sell, your products line up. Then, get yourself good books on how to do the selling via online, and how to attract visitors into your website. After that, get yourself a decent computer, either laptop or PC. This will be your important tool and your way into the entrepreneurship. Should you feel the laptop or PC needs some minor repair or fine tuning, just give us a call at 1-700-80-7800 or email us at repairthatpcfast@gmail.com right away. Create a simple blog or website and last but not least, market your website online.

Welcome to the world of entrepreneurship. Let us know if you need some tips. We’ll be glad to share you most of them. Contact us okay..

Therefore, we hope that we can have your full support during this journey. We need your moral support on this one. Here is what we are doing in order to achieve our vision. We are doing:

1. Lots and lots of branding, marketing and promotion works.
2. Lots of effort to make our logo and our http://repairthatpcfast.blogspot.com/ known to public.
3. Lots of effort to make our 1-700-80-7800 hotline number known to everybody
4. Lots and lots of hiring of qualified and part-time engineers in every district and every state in Malaysia.

Beginning of 2011, we are putting our presence in Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and India. We are gearing up ourselves within 2010 and to prepare ourselves internally for this regional journey. That is why we need to establish our footing correctly in Malaysia. To acknowledge that we are ready to go beyond Malaysian shore, we need to quickly set ourselves a target.

We are aiming to achieve incoming telephone calls and/or emails for repair services of at least 20 calls a day consistently. Again, no less than 20 telephone calls and/or emails a day from our customers consistently requesting for our repair services nationwide. If we manage to achieve this target, it shows that we are ready to move on to these 4 countries we mentioned earlier.

Godspeed!

Do You Have Super High Expectations On Your Kids?

Imagine this. Your daughter is yet to enroll into Standard One and you are sending her to tuition class for English, Mathematics, Bahasa Malaysia, and Science and not to forget all those swimming class, piano class as well as Tae Kwan Do class. Wow, amazing. Not yet schooling and still at the age of 6, the schedule seems pretty tight (just like mommy and daddy’s schedules).

Now stop imagining and here is a real question for you as parents. Are your children enjoying their life as per the above story? Congratulations to you if they are. It shows that you are a tremendously a caring parents. It also shows that your children are going to be a very successful adult when he or she grows up.

Let’s cut the crap and go straight to the point. Weird, we don’t actually get it. Why every parent (especially the ones with money) in Malaysia is pushing their own children so hard on their studies and curricular at their early age (we heard as early as 4 years young) until it compromises those children’s own time to play? If we are not mistaken, children and playing are inseparable and shouldn’t be separated. Come on, those children are still babies. Don’t you think we should give them a chance and time for them to play and enjoying themselves? They would love to play with their toys, with their friends and also with their parents. Why on earth are we pushing them so hard at this stage? Can’t we start with a moderate kind of push and staggeringly increase the pressure along the way.

Do you like being pushed by your parents or your boss, or your spouse to do this and that? Obviously you are not going to like it. Having a back-to-back schedule day in day out will definitely burn you out. If you live like this for years, don’t you think one day you’d want to rebel against them crawling your way out of that situation? This is what your children are feeling at this moment.

Yes, we know that the world is getting crazier. This crazy world somehow creates competitions, to get great results. Lately, competitions among students are getting stiffer and tougher every year. The objective is to just simply get a place in a university, a good university.

To get a foot into the university requires students to achieve close to straight As for their UPSR, PMR and SPM examinations as well as O Level and A Level. This again put tremendous pressure on our children. And yes, we also know that the stress a child will have to bear when his or her results is not as good as his or her classmates. At the end, these students will be pretty disappointed if they missed the boat, not able to join their friends into the university.

So now, taking into considerations of the amounting pressure of competitions in your children’s education environment versus your children’s future we will leave the decision to you. As their father and mother, we still believe one thing – Parents knows best..

PC Repair Station Malaysia: Our Marketing Will Be Extremely Aggressive From Now Till Dec 31, 2010

In PC Repair Station Malaysia, we always believe in reaching our customers no matter where they are. We really want to establish our brand in Malaysia. Our approach on marketing is very simple – Effective but Reasonably Cost. Hence, we decided to proceed with 5 types of marketing approach:

1. E-Mail Newsletters
2. Social Networking Sites – MySpace and Facebook
3. Advertisements
4. Promotional Business Cards and Corporate Gifts
5. Links Exchange
6. Word-of-Mouth

E-mailing our newsletter to each Malaysian is a must. At the moment, there are more than 500,000 email addresses in our database and definitely we are compiling more and more. Each day, we are sending out more than 1,000 newsletters to all our present customers and potentials.

We have a set up our PC Repair Station Malaysia ID within MySpace and we are going to set up one in Facebook anytime now. Social networking sites like both MySpace and Facebook give us a strong marketing platform for us to create friends all over Malaysia. At the moment, we are very much keeping in touch with most of our friends and some had been converted to customers. The social networking trends are extremely powerful and benefit us a lot.

Advertisements are simply unavoidable. At the moment our advertisement can be found in most Malaysian-based online classified websites such as http://www.mudah.com.my/ and http://www.superpages.com.my/ . Since most of them are FREE, we are making used of them aggressively. Besides these, we are going to start our advertisement in The Star. As this daily has the largest circulations in Malaysia, we hope to draw more crowds to our websites as well as pushing out our PC Repair Station Malaysia brand nationwide.

The only traditional ways of marketing that we are going to stick to is the Promotional business card and corporate gifts. We are giving these away to all our friends, neighbours, relatives and strangers. We are also distributing them at shopping complexes, religious places, public places, banks, and everywhere we go including petrol stations. We’ll do anything for publicity.
Links exchange between our fellow bloggers and online businessman and woman are pretty powerful and very useful to us. Do give us a call at 1-700-80-7800 or email us at repairthatpcfast@gmail.com if you are interested to exchange links with us.

A good word of mouth strategy can only be achieved by offering an excellent job to our customers. So far things are going pretty well on track. To date, we have received quite a number of referrals, thanks to all our customers, friends and engineers nationwide for their support.

2009: A Cost-Cutting Year – Time To Consider Outsourcing

In any company, PCs and laptops are the most incredibly important business tools for doing your job. From a clerk, right up to the CEO of the company, everybody is using either a laptop or a PC. Without them, you can almost forget to complete your work for that day.

In most cases, the maintenance of the equipments such as repairs, reconfigurations, reinstallations and related stuffs are being done internally. A company will have an IT department to take care of them. IT team members will be called should there be any problems. On average, each company’s IT team members vary between 1 person to more than 20 persons dependent on the company’s sizes.

As of late, everybody is aware that the global economy is not doing pretty good. There is less sales now compared to before however all monthly operating expenditures are pretty much fixed. To increase the spending is easy, but to reduce is very hard and all angles must be considered including the local labor law.

All businesses must now focusing more on the offense game (more sales, revenues and collections) as well as tighten up the defense (minimize operating expenditures especially the fixed ones and unnecessary spending).

Our propositions to these companies are as follows:

1. Consider managed services of your maintenance of laptops and PCs to us at PC Repair Station Malaysia. Your fixed monthly operating expenditure on the financial and human resources will be completed freed. You’re able to utilize those budget and human skills for other more critical and important tasks. Give us a call at 1-700-80-7800 or email us at repairthatpcfast@gmail.com for further discussions.

2. Consider managed services of your IT infrastructures, systems and Website to us at PC Repair Station Malaysia. Again, you’re able to free up all your financial obligations on salary, EPFs, SOCSOs, allowances and claims for more important things. Those human skills you’re able to redeployed them to another sections which is more important and leave these scope of works to us. Just give us a call at 1-700-0-7800 or email us at repairthatpcfast@gmail.com for further discussions.

We are very sure that all business owners have no choice now but to consider the above propositions. These are a few of the choices among all that you can do to reduce your OPEX in a major way.

Wanna discuss further?

Don’t Blame Yourselves, Just Blame It On The Government. Easier!

Point your finger to the government. Don’t blame yourselves, easier! Blame the government when:

1. There are major landslides, serious flood, earthquakes or any act of God thing. Don’t blame it on your own appetite to have bungalows on top of the hills that has views which doesn’t even care of the environment consequences and affects. Or don’t blame it on your attitude of throwing everything into the river and make the river flow unsmooth.

2. The crime rate is alarming like crazy. Don’t blame it on your laziness to help the police for being informative or getting to know your neighbours.
3. The fuel price went up rapidly. Don’t blame it on your passion to drive for no reason as well as your expensive 2000cc, 2400cc or 4500cc cars and SUVs that drinks it heavily everyday that makes up the demand for more.

4. The rivers are being polluted and streets full of rubbish. Don’t blame it on your habit or your children’s attitude of simply throw everything out of the car’s window.

5. There are too many corruptions in this country. Don’t blame it on your hungriness for more projects until you’ll do everything (legal and illegal) to get it including bribery here and there.

6. Your monthly income is too low. Don’t blame it on your laziness to work for more income until those Indonesians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Phillipinos are here taking advantage of our country’s wealth.

7. There are too many Mat Rempits, Drug Addicts, run-away children and abandon babies. Don’t blame it on your own lack of attentions and strictness to your own children’s welfare and needs and their whereabouts every night.

8. The accident rate is among the highest in the world. Don’t blame it on your own style of driving, driving over the speed limits, street racing, driving using the emergency lanes during the peak hours, so on.

9. The economy is not very good and harassment from Ah Longs. Don’t blame it on your own spending habit, more than what you have in the bank, buying lots of things you don’t need and buy lots of things without thinking with your brain.

10. There are too many huge dams being built that affect the environment. Don’t blame it on your house that has a full air conditions in all rooms including toilets, or your heavy utilization of electricity each month, or more cars on the road, hungriness for office spaces, hungriness for more houses and apartments for investments, etc.

Of course, we know we know. There are also quite a number of things which our government is to be blamed. What we are trying to say is that, while everybody is pointing a finger at the government, perhaps you may want to look at the rest of the 4 fingers are pointing back at you..

Participating In Tenders or Request of Proposals (RFP)? Think Again

Read our lips..

“Don’t waste your time participating in a tender. It belongs to someone else already. Unless you’re involved very deeply into the project since Day 1, way before the tender process began”.

If you just participate into the tender without exactly knowing what the requirements are, who are the end-customers and other stakeholders, decision criteria, and those whatnots, there is a strong chance you won’t succeed. In our previous encounters as well as our friends’ on the tender participations, almost none of them are success. We say out of 100 attempts, 99 will not be a success even though your offers are superb.

This is a story of getting a decently big project here in Malaysia. In Malaysia, having strong solutions, pricing structure and business case is just one-third of the story.

The other one third is well established networking of contacts, real strong contacts among the stakeholders (within the customers’ side) as well as among stakeholders’ friends and getting them into your side.

The final one third of the story is you must have a great level of passion and believe in your products or services, and it works great as a solution to your customers. Then the customers’ must share the same passion as you are of the solutions, convinced that it will work great to solve their problems and fit perfectly well into their requirements.

Again, if you are just participating in a tender or RFP for the sake of just making up the numbers – read our lips “Forget It”. You are going to waste your time…

What’s Happening In 2009?

Here is what happening and what’s going to happen in 2009.

1. This time compared to 1997, the recession is going to be really worst. Some estimates that it will prolong till mid-2010. From financial institutions, to services, constructions right up to manufacturing will be affected pretty hard.

2. Manufacturing business is pretty badly affected. At present, there are quite a number of factories in Johor Bahru, Penang, Ipoh, Shah Alam and Klang as well as some other major cities have already started to shut down their operations more than a week monthly. Force leave are being enforced now. More and more factories is starting to do the same. The last effort to minimize the cost is to close down the factories and leave the workers unemployed which we have yet to hear.

3. From manufacturing, it will go directly towards other industries in no time.

4. In most cases, Malaysian couples are both working. But there are also some who lives on a single income. However, the household income normally is either just nice or still not enough to cater for their monthly needs. Not much left behind for savings. If the breadwinner, either one of them or both of them are out of job, this will create chaos as they do not have something to fall back to.

5. Everyone now realize that they need something to fall back to besides having a job. Relying solely on a job may not be a good idea now. It is not easy to get a second job as they will have no more time to trade for money due to their first job.

6. Not easy too for them to go into commission-based sales activities due to their lack of contacts, skills and experience in physical selling. The easiest way is to go into a business themselves. And the criteria of their business has to be cheap and easy to establish, run and manage, minimum initial and monthly investment, global-based customer would be great and finally has to be easy, fast to develop with a good return on investment.

7. This fit into criteria of online or internet-based business. To do this type of business, besides having or easy access for internet, a good working condition of PC or laptop is required too.

Here is our plan. We want to encourage these groups of people. We want these groups of people to get themselves decent laptops, and call us for further fine tuning or repairs which tools is needed to empower their online business. We want their entrepreneurship journeys to be successful ones. If their business is doing well, our business will be doing pretty good too.

With a good combination of nationwide presence (we have a large pool of engineers nationwide) and a reasonable pricing structure, we are pretty sure that our strong commitment will bear fruits within 2 years. That is our plan in general, and so far things are going pretty good.

What Happen To The Public Transportation Revamp Plan?

Our public transportation system is pretty suck, big time. The government, in each year’s budget released millions if not billions of ringgit to improve them. Now, after waiting and waiting (just like our friends waiting for their buses for hours in a hot humid day), it is still the same.

We recalled during we were innocent school boys, we heard of this complaint before. Then, we are already in our early thirties and the fuel price was at RM1.90, we heard and read from the newspapers about it again. Complaints and proposed solution, complaints and proposed solutions, but so far nothing works. Then, we hear it again when the fuel price were at RM2.70 but this time the public transportation revamp story got extra hot and spicy when the ministers, politicians, NGOs, members of public and everybody talks about it. Due to pressure, the government agrees to look into it in a very serious manner. Rapid KL or what-ever-name it is, was given a task to come up with a plan and execute it once approved.

After months of hot and spicy situation on this story, as a normal citizen, we thought that it will happen this time. But with the fuel price at all time low (according to some), we think this revamp of the public transportation is just as good as dead.

All our Malaysian friends who can’t afford to buy their own bikes or cars, seems have to continue with their struggle. A struggle to go from Point A to Point B. More struggle if they want to go to Point D. As you know, the Malaysian weather is not helping much, with its extra hot and humid, or rain. Pity them..
But, who to blame? We are pretty sure that some of those budgeted money had been spent along the way. We know that the government is doing the best it can in terms of the financials and willingness to fork out the money, and leave the plan and execution to the company or entity who knows and familiar about it. But it seems quiet. Very, very quiet..

Do You Realize That You Are A Low Class Tourist?

Yes, you are if you fit all criteria below:
You are a Malaysian
You are traveling and holidaying in Malaysia (own country)
You don’t drive expensive cars

Surprised? We don’t think so. We know all of us (average middle-class people) had a fair share of bad experiences before, mostly from the local hotels or resorts people. They prefer to treat foreigners than locals. Better. Those guys have money, more money than the locals. They have gold and platinum credit cards, not the locals. They give tips, not the locals. They are modern and urban people, not the locals. They seem to be a nice people, not the locals. We guess there are lots of more reasons that we couldn’t think of right now.

We recalled one of many bad experiences we had. This one was in Penang late last year. We had made a reservation in one of a so-called high-end hotel which we can't mentioned the name here.
First, when we arrived, there were no hotel’s staffs helping us to bring our bags in from the car. But the funny thing was that, the foreigners coming out of a taxi in front of us were welcomed like a king and queen. Oh ya, we forgot. We only a Malaysian, traveling and holidaying in our own country and just drive a Malaysian made car. No class at all, compare to those BMWs and Mercedes Benz.

The ‘king and queen’ check-in session were done within 20 minutes. During our own check-in session, we were made to wait for 3 hours. Somehow, the rooms are not yet ready, and there were several people from Singapore who came later than us, taking up our turn to check-in. No wonder, these foreigners were taking up all the expensive rooms, compare to us who only able to afford a deluxe room. If it’s not due to our yelling, we guess the check in session will be 5 – 6 hours more. And the face of the front office clerks were like a piece of sh*t. Oh ya, we forgot. We only a Malaysian, traveling and holidaying in our own country and just drive a Malaysian made car. No class at all, compare to those BMWs and Mercedes Benz.

Lots of yelling came during the next day. We just want to skip those stories. Those people are so rude! Oh ya, we forgot. We only a Malaysian, traveling and holidaying in our own country and just drive a Malaysian made Proton Perdana car. No class at all, compare to those BMWs and Mercedes Benz.

Despite all these 'BS', Malaysia is still the best.

December: A Very Quiet Month (On Articles Okay, Business Doing Great)

We'd like to apologize to you. December 2008 has been a very quiet month from us on articles. We have a lot of coordination works and repair services deployments that we had to do since the beginning of this month until we simply don't have the time to update our blog.

It had been a great business as we have now began to receive numerous of calls from the east coast, especially from Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu as well as from Seremban and Melaka for PC and laptop repair services.

We are gearing up on the creation of new articles now and we had completed some already. Now, these articles are within the editing process – for grammar and spelling checks. Yeah we know, there are still quite of error out there but what the heck, we are just human.

We're almost forgot. To all our friends, families, customers and engineers, we’d like to wish you a Happy New Year and hope the Year 2009 will bring you and your families good health, wealth, peace and lots of happiness. Although 2009 is set to be the most toughest year for us here in Asia Pacific due to the global economic problem, we are pretty sure that each and everyone of us will survive with flying colours..

Monsopiad Tribe: The Real Headhunter

Planning for Sabah holiday? A piece of advise. Do insert into your schedule a trip to Monsopiad Cultural Village. It looked and sounded boring, but trust us it is not. Far from it. This cultural village is located within the Kota Kinabalu town, but it will take you close to 30 minutes if you were to take a cab or car from the city center.

Once you reached this place, there shall be a tour guide waiting to assist you. She will bring you on a tour while explaining something similar to this..

This Monsopiad Cultural Village is originally a home of a Kadazan-Dusun tribe, whom were a 3rd largest tribe in Sabah. They are also known as a tribe who love to hunt - head hunt. This is a completely different from head-hunter guys in KL who obviously searching and placing people from one workplace to another. But this Monsopiad guys head hunt the real head. They have to do this to protect their own villages and land from their enemy. When there are intruders, the warrior will fight and chopped the intruder's head. When the story of head being chopped if someone were to disturb this village being spreaded out, no one is dare to come except for those stubborn, cold-blooded hardcore gangsters (at that time). This is the message this Monsopiad community were trying to the outside world. Disturb our peaceful life, you'll pay with your head. Direct to the point. They looked at these heads, some sort like a trophy. More trophy = gain more respect from their own community.

This tribe doesn't believe in God, but they believe in spirits. Spirits of fire, spirits of tree, spirits of skull, etc. That is why, in their believe the spirit of skulls will help them to protect from everything evil or unexpected things. For your information, those chopped head (that had been preserved for years) are well kept within a house. The House of Skull. At first, from outside the entrance looked pretty scary. But once you're in the house, slowly it will disappear.

When you are about to enter the door, you need to say "Siou Do Monoing" (a Kadasan-Dusun wording) which means "Hello". This is some sort like in any cases, definitely you need to ask permission to enter from the host. Normal right?

Cool. Now you are in the House of Skull. You'll able to see right away on top of your head, a long stretch of head which most of them still had blood on to them. Very interesting to view. Here, we are attaching the picture for your viewing pleasure. Hahahaha.

Once you are done with the Tour Of Skull, you'll be entertained by the dancers. You're able to watch their traditional dances in a showcase. The place is very nice, with a stage and located exactly at a river-bank. There are a group of very skillful dancers together with a team of musicians. To tell you the truth, your children will love them!

Hey, we have a sample among many of their dances. Just check out this one. Sorry we can't upload all of them, since to upload this one also takes years to finish. Enjoy!

Announcement : Can You Help Us?

Dear Friends,

We need to ramp-up and increase our unique visitors or the incoming traffics to our http://repairthatpcfast.blogspot.com/ blog which is going pretty strong at the moment, to a new level. At the moment, the current unique visitors are approximately 600 per month or about 20 per day.

We must boost our incoming traffic or visitors to approximately 100 visitors a day or 3,000 visitors per month by March 2009 onwards. What the main reason behind this initiative? Easy, we need to expose our name, brand and repair services aggressively to generate better sales and revenues.

Presently, for your information our business is going pretty okay. On average, the business generated is enough to cover our monthly expenses together with a small profit margin. Not bad at all. Now we need to push ourselves a bit more. Internally, we are targeting to generate at least 3 calls a day or about 90 calls (or more) per month for the repair works.

Obviously there are a quite a number of ways to attract visitors to our blog. But there is one way which we think would be the easiest option to do – by linking our blog to other blogs.

We hope you can help us out on this one. If you are a blogger or know someone who is a blogger, please help to introduce them to us. We really want to meet and talk to them to discuss about the link exchange between theirs and ours. Just a request from our side, the blogger must possess 3 critical criterias that we think is very important. The blogger that you are going to introduce to us must:
1. Be an active blogger, who publishes new articles each month.
2. Have incoming traffic of at least 20 visitors a day as per ours
3. Aggressively promoting his or her own blog either via online, offline or both to generate traffics.

Yup, that is it. It’s easy and straight-forward. We want it to be a win-win for this blogger and us as well. So, do email us at repairthatpcfast@gmail.com or call us at 1-700-80-7800 if you know someone who is a blogger who fits into the above criterias. We look forward to hear some good news from you.

Your friend,
- PC Repair Station Malaysia Team -

Good morning Teacher!

A decade ago, if you tell your mom that you are going to bring over and introduce to her your future husband or wife who is working as a teacher, it will be music to your mom’s ears. To those parents at that time, teacher = the most noble and respectable work in the world. Especially to the Malay folks, you know they will say “Sejuk telinga dengar”..

Now things have changed. Most people we met says, teacher = one of the toughest job in the world. Why, because
1. The students are controlling them and not the other way around.
2. Those students’ parents (who hold high level position jobs, politician, those who think they are somebody) are controlling them too.
3. If the teacher tried to punish the students, right away a police report is made saying that the teacher is abusing those kids.
4. The teachers themselves have less authority to manage, control and discipline the students.
5. Low monthly pay
6. Wake up early in the morning since the class will start at 7+ am, or attend a boring and sleepy evening session school that normally starts at 1+ pm.
7. Lots of extra-curricular activities, end-up going back home late.

We are pretty sure, you yourself will think twice about being a teacher. If possible you wish to avoid it at all cost. You will definitely try to be something else, but not a teacher. You know what, there are thousands people out there who are exactly like you. Lately, to be a teacher is like the last choice or the last options for them.

We hope we are wrong here, but as of late we heard that most of our schooling friends who were skipping their classes before, those who were marked as no-future-students before, or even those not doing too well in their education are now teachers. It is truly amazing. Try asking around, you might hear something similar from your circle of old friends.

It seems that they had completed all the necessary training, classes, tests, exams and so on during the stint in the teacher’s colleges and adhere to all the relevant rules by the ministry. Yup, now they are teachers. They are now teaching our children to become better persons. Emm.. Something is not right over here. You see,
1. First, they become teachers because of there was no other choice.
2. Second, due to this reason, they do not put their heart into the job. They just do their duty during the period, when the schooling time ended, that is it. The job is done for today.
3. Finally, the quality of being a role model for their students is pretty much questionable.

We are not saying that all the teachers are like this, but for those schools whose teachers are having these kinds of qualities, we wish them good luck in their future undertakings. For us, definitely we are not going to put our children in this school. No way! Obviously because of the reasons above. On top of this, we definitely want to avoid all those probability and chances of being into all those sh*ts with the problematic teachers such as molested and rape cases, abuse and beaten cases, and all sorts of issues related to them.

Again, not all teachers are having a bad history like the one we shared earlier. Nope. Some of these teachers are truly work hard for the sake of their students’ future. They are having a great educational background. Some were graduated from overseas, really want to become teachers. They sincerely and truthfully wish to help built and strengthen our nation – a truly strong educated nation. Here is the type of teachers we are really confident of. They teach with their heart and soul, they love their students as if they are theirs, and they make all the necessary sacrifices together with the parents to make sure these children are progressing well and ready for the future.

A piece of advise to all of you. As parents you are also responsible for your children okay. Don't be too protective, too one-sided to your children, must keep communicating with your children's teachers. Half of the cases are due to the children's fault, not the teachers. So get to know their issues, their problems and their achievement. Lend these teachers your helping hand to solve problems if there are any. Not by just know how to complaint, or directly complaint to your friend in the ministry, sue these teachers all the time or even making police report.. Be a referee, know each side stories (the teacher as well as your children's) and then make your own fair conclusion and act on it.

Garbage Truck In Malaysia – Weird

Do you know that your neighbourhood's garbage trucks looked exactly like the one below? Hey, you know what, not only your neighbourhood but the entire nation. Funny and weird but true.

The real garbage trucks are supposed to be like this:

Or like this:

At least it looked more handsome, professional and the most important thing is that the lorry is designed for the trashes and garbages. The one far above is not meant for transporting garbage. All we know that this kind of lorry is pretty cheap so that the contractor who got the job are making tonnes of money - our money.

Mr Local Authorities, why oh why did you approve those garbage collection contractors to use this kind of lorry as garbage trucks? And why oh why did you approve these contractors to become your garbage collection contractor when you know that they are not that fit to carry the job. We are paying you guys all sorts of taxes which all of them are coming from our hard earned money, and you give us this kind of treatment (those lousy trucks to pick up our trashes). What the hell is wrong with you. Those taxes are not that cheap after all, and it is on the increasing mode every time even though you put out all the statistics that our taxes are still the cheapest in ASEAN, ASIA, or even in the galaxy. We don't care..

We hope that our Mr Local Authorities are not on the ‘take’ or corrupt as we can always called Badan Pencegah Rasuah (BPR) to check you out.

We, as an average citizen, are very much at lost here. Are you really working over there, Mr Local Authorities? Didn’t you know that:

1. The normal lorries that being used as garbage trunks are not fit to become garbage trucks? Let us know if you need a glass for you to see. Just take a look at their shapes. It doesn’t match.
2. Not only the smell can easily spread out of the lorry, but also some left-over, plastics, dead animals or even some watery stuffs can dripped out of the lorry.
3. This type of lorry doesn’t look professional on you as Mr. Local Authorities. It shows that someone who handles this thing is so unprofessional, blind, selfish, corrupted and such a pain in the ass to us.

Mr. Local Authorities, what were you thinking? Don’t just sit there, do something!!!

Disable People In Malaysia – A Pure 2nd Class Citizen

We believe everybody will disagree to this, pretty sure about that. However if we carefully look and observe how these disable people move around Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Penang, Johor Bahru or any other cities in Malaysia, they are having tremendous difficulties. Even a fully functional people is aware about this, our politicians are aware about this, government officials are aware about this, everybody is aware about this. The infrastructure in Malaysia in general that caters for our disable friends is absolutely unacceptable. They are being discriminated in their own country. As if they are a pure second class citizen. Are they?

Let us do some imagination here. You are paralyzed from waist down, due to an accident that happened last year. Now you are fit to go to work after a few months on medical leave recuperating. Like it or not, you need to use a wheelchair to move around. It is a non-automatic version (in other words, you have to use your own hand to move in front and back). You are living in Subang Jaya with your parents, and working in an IT company in one building in front of KLCC.

(Above picture is taken from http://petertan.com/) So let us look at your first day trip from your house to your office using a public transportation since you don’t have a car at the moment.

Getting out from your house is pretty easy. But from the house to the bus stand takes a lot of effort, and sweat too. Malaysia is a very hot and humid country and using a wheelchair to the bus-stand (with a bumpy Malaysian road) making it worst as far as the sweaty condition is concerned. It took you a complete 15 minutes for you to reach the bus stop. The bus is late again, you were there waiting like what 1 hour. Getting up into the bus is another disaster. There were a few people who help to hold you and get you onto your seat. Your wheelchair is being folded and kept in front of the bus. As usual, no bus in Malaysia is disabled friendly.

The bus headed straight to the commuter station, right at the back of the Carrefour Subang Jaya building. For you to get down from the bus, obviously you need help again. Luckily there were the same friendly people who help you. From the bus, there are a few stairs you need to climb. Seems that there is no other way, but to go through it. Again, members of the public are helping you. Going into the commuter is no easy task as well. There were a medium-sized gap in between the commuter train and the pave of the station. Dangerous, but luckily the wheel is large enough not to be stucked there. The commuter is absolutely packed with people and you need to be cramped into them too. Luckily in the morning, the smells are still okay, but hey... why everybody is looking at you as if you are a freak-show here..

(Above picture is taken from http://petertan.com/) . Anyway, here you are at KL Sentral. It is a bit easy to be here as there are air-conditions everywhere within the building. At least your body doesn't smell bad from the previous USJ-commuter station trip earlier.

You need to catch Rapid KL LRT train to KLCC. From the commuter station to LRT station is just upstairs. Via a lift, there you are waiting for the train. Again you need to wait until train number 6 before you can get in. Those trains are packed with people, exactly like a sardin can. Reaching KLCC, it is pretty easy. Except for one little thing. From the LRT station going up to its shopping mall area, there is one staircase. Someone needs to lift you up for you to proceed further, or else you'll be stucked there for a while.

There you go, the members of the public again become your saviour. Going out of KLCC to the building in front, is not an easy task as well. There are heavy traffic jam which you need to go through, another round of staircase from the road up to the building. Then only you are save and sound in the office. Work for a few hours, then back to home. Same hurdles again..

That is why in http://petertan.com blog, he did mentioned this. Living one day at a time. We understand their feelings. Well Mr Government, please help our disabled friends as soon as possible. They need your help..

95,000 versus 27,000,000

Here is some fact for you to swallow. Do you know that there are approximately 95,000 policemen to take care of approximately 27 million Malaysian? This 27 million doesn’t actually include those expats, legal and illegal immigrants, foreign students, etc. Damn, now only we know that there are so many people living and working in Malaysia. Ding dong ding dong, in other words let’s just say all in all it is approximately 30 million people altogether.

Do you think it is possible that 95,000of policemen are able to cover 30 million people, who are consisting of innocent follow-the-rule type of people, politicians who loves to make police reports all the time, ex-convicts, yet-to-be-caught-criminals, road bullies, ah longs, corrupt people, bank robbers, brothel’s owners, illegal racing guys, burglars, illegal assembly from certain political parties, girls who like to run away from home, drug dealers, gangsters, kidnappers, bla..bla..Bla.. Hell, personally we don’t think they can.

Why is that there are so less of them to fight the world? Logically, here are the top three reasons why nobody wants to become policemen:
1. Great perks and remunerations – we are pretty sure that it is way below than average people
2. Dangerous and heavy-duty in nature.
3. Day and night kind of work to solve cases.

Since the crime rate is increasing at alarming rate lately, we don’t think we can wait for the police forces to increase their headcounts in time. Or waiting for the federal government to review their salary and other packages. These can take years. What can we do?

There are so many of us who likes to complaint and pointing fingers to the police for being slow or no-response to reported cases, but nobody wishes to help them. As a responsible citizen, we must and should join and register yourselves as Rakan Cop. It’s like being a spy, you know. Cool. This is the best that we can do to help our own police force to fight crime in our area as well as in the public. Let us help them and become their eyes and ears when we are out there. There are so many of us, millions. If we can join our hands together with the police force, we are pretty sure that those jokers as we mentioned above can be easily brought down to justice.

Once we register, then what? Well, what we can do is just to be alert while we are in the public. Mobile telephones and cameras especially with camera will be very handy, to take picture or write down some details before calling the cops. Those culprits must be caught so that we can sleep at night peacefully. We also believe the police force’s pressure to solve and concluded normal cases will ease down, so that they can concentrate and focus more on complex cases.

We bet you can still remember ‘Rukun Tetangga’, can’t you? Those were the days where a neighborhoods and communities had this activity together whereby every individual in their groups takes turn to watch their own neighborhoods. We can still remember when we were kids, we followed our father making rounds in our housing area. We normally follow him after school during the nights and weekends. What an experience!

Now, everybody are seems too busy to do this. Gotong royong, don’t go even there. Those days, gotong royong is used to strengthen our relationships among neighbors so that everybody knows each other. Now it’s a bit different. We know, money is very important, right after God. Yeah, we know that. No wonder all those security companies are making tonnes of money, taking our money each month and in exchange for their security works and taking care of our neighborhood. But do you notice that in their invoices, there is a clause that they will not be responsible for anything happen to us and our houses. The same clause you can find from the parking companies. Yup, the ones we paid RM3.50 per hour for parking our car. These parking jokers make tonnes of money as well – from us.

Emm.. we heard in some areas where those neighborhood hired security companies, those guards are the real culprits who behind the robberies and break-ins. They were not actually doing their works and making their rounds to prevent crimes but instead gave information to outsiders which houses are empty and stuffs. Be careful, don’t simply trust anyone. Your house will be next…

We have registered ourselves as Rakan Cop. So, when is your turn?

Do You Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love Your Partner?

Irregardless if you are already married, engaged and about to get married or boyfriend-girlfriend kind of status, we need you to sincerely look into yourselves, look real deep and ask yourself this question – Do I really, really, really, really, really love my wife/husband/partner?

Great if you really are. But if you are having a split mind even-though it is a slightest one, better think twice before you proceed further and move on with your life. This is pretty important. The reason behind it is, if you are very much in love with your partner, wife or husband, you will definitely be loyal to her or him during good and bad times, where ever you are. Loyalty will translate to trust, and this is the very key to the success of your relationship as a husband and wife.

With a strong pillar of relationship, it is pretty easy to mold it further to create a happy family. The pillar is too strong to be questioned, thus you and your partner can focus on building your dreams together, and make them a reality. Lots of things both of you can focus on, building a happy family with beautiful children, spent time together, building your own careers, businesses, holidays, shopping, personal finances, buying your own dream houses and cars, investments, etc.

There are lots of bad examples out there (such as local celebrities and even normal people), which the husband and wife seems perfect to each other, seems they are very much in love with each other and so on. But after a few years of marriage – they file for divorce. What were they thinking..

Why is this happening? Easy, because when they got married, they didn’t really ask themselves sincerely “Am I really, really in love with this man or lady?” Period. Deep down in their hearts had that small little ‘not-sure’ thought kept inside. You know, when either one of them or both of them have this small little black dot settled in their heart, this is going to be bad news.

Bad news may come, not now, but later. The husband or wife who is having the-not-sure-thought will end up doing something that is funny, stupid and unacceptable. He or she will start to look out and start seeing other people secretly (even-though he or she denies it), going to massage parlors, looking for prostitutes, having secret lovers and lots of other weird activities. Then, the other half will find out for sure. Kuala Lumpur or even Malaysia is a very small place. News can spread really fast nowadays. When the spouse found out, the divorce is the only choice. The paper works begin.

Every party will lose money (your hard earned money given freely to lawyers who didn’t actually help much), quarrelling about the house (co-owned), about the cars, about everything and anything. These disputes are no end. Not only those, your name and your spouses name and image are going to be affected as well. Each side of the family will be affected too.

The children will suffer the most. When they were born, their father and mother were there together. When they sleep at night, they got their goodnight kisses from their mother and father. When they wake up each morning, they had breakfast together as a family. When they went for holidays, they went together with their father and mother. These are good memories to them, which they need to supplement their growth. Children can’t simply be separated from both their father and mother. They just can’t.

In other words, they are used to have their father and mother in their life. Once a divorce is in the picture, they need to choose either one of them. They can’t do that, their psychologies are going to be affected badly and negatively too. They can be lied by their divorced father and mother about the divorce story and reasons behind it, but the truth will prevail in the future. Be careful what you are going to say to the children.

If they stayed with their father, they will miss their mother very much. If they lived with their mother, they will miss their father very much. Then all the side effect will start to come. They have less appetite, sick all the time (maybe hospitalized), their schooling results turned bad to worst, less self-confidence and lots more. So, who to be blamed here is obviously their stupid father and mother for being selfish and irresponsible.

So, please boys and girls, don’t screw things up. Think again and again and again and again before settling down in engagement or getting married. If not sure, don’t get married. Learn to be honest with yourself first on love before you start ruining someone’s daughter or son life, and everything that comes after that.

PS: To Norazizah Surip, we will always love you.. You are such a good wife, mother, best-friend and partner-in-crime that we ever had.

Yang Berhormat TV3

We are pretty sure that you are noticing these trends too. It seems that when someone had unsolved problems, they will call TV3 directly. It is their last resort or answer for solution. Some don’t even bother to go to the relevant authority anymore, just right away to TV3 either by telephone calls or emails. The reporters will come and see you directly.

Lots of examples we can share with you over here. From discovering poor people around Malaysia, to illegal logging, sand stealing case, illegal immigrants, maid abusing, water shortages, no electricity supply, river and pollution, uncollected garbage, anything. You just name it, TV3 helps more than our own so-called Yang Berhormat.

What an interesting fact, but this is what’s happening in Malaysia. If a normal people like us or some poor villagers were to complaint directly to these government jokers about some problems, it just went to their deaf ears. But things are different if you get TV3 to be involved in solving your problems.

When TV3 put every detail on air, live telecast in the news bulletin, right-away things will get moving. Faster than normal Malaysian speed of doing things. The word here is – On Air. The people complaints things on air. The reporter then calls the relevant authority to seek their answers on air. The same day, or the very next morning, they start investigating. Then right-away or the next day, these government jokers act, summon or arrest are being made on air too.
Why is this happening? Simple, these jokers will only work when they are in front of the camera. We think they just want to be actors and actresses but couldn’t. Without television, they just cool, relax, taking their time in doing things, scolding people unnecessarily, blablablabla..

What we are trying to say is not all government servants are like this. We think half of them are okay, but the other half is like a pain in the as*. They need to be pushed right to the wall to do their work. This is where TV3 plays an important role.

Do you know that there are still a lot of problems out there that need attentions from our beloved local authorities? Personally, we find it pretty hard to trust the local authorities to solve problems fast, efficient and on time.

Dear someone, can we have more TV3 please..?

Yasmin Suraya, Papa and Mummy Miss You Very Much !

Yasmin Suraya, what a cute classic name. She is our only daughter. If she is around, she will be 3 year-old this coming December 22, 2008

Today, November 3, 2008 marked the 2nd anniversary of her ‘departure’. She passed away peacefully at 6am November 3, 2006 due to her brain complication or also known as asphyxia. She was 10-month young at that time.

Frankly, the sadness can still be felt strongly. It is a complete different level of sadness if we were to compare losing a father or mother, to losing our own children. And the memories will stay with us till we die..

Yasmin Suraya was born back in December 22, 2005 in Pantai Medical Hospital, Bangsar. She has to be brought out via an operation due to complications. It seems that she was seriously drowned in her mother’s tummy for days, thanks to one of the famous doctor there. We can't mentioned her name as we might get sued if you know what we mean. She was the one to be blamed for her miscalculating the pregnancy cycle. We won’t forget her, and what she did to us. (Moral of the story: Never ever go to famous doctors. They are too busy with their schedule, lack of attention to their patients).

The most interesting part was, a day before, we went for a check on the mother and the pregnancy status. So the doctor, by using a traditional hand method as well as the scanning method, said to us that the baby is okay and we are scheduled to deliver in 2 weeks time.

To our shock, the next day we had to rush to the hospital due to the pain. In the delivery room, the nurse told us that we need to undergo an operation as the unborn baby is struggling inside. After a few hours, Yasmin Suraya was born. Everyone was panic as she doesn’t even cry, or make a sound. Without cleaning her up, she was directly transferred to NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit). After a week, she is still in the same position – very weak. The care-taker doctor advised us to be patient and prepare for the worst.

At that point, the Pantai Medical Center asked us to pay RM 7,000 for the delivery and approximately RM 17,000 for the NICU charges. RM 24,000 is definitely a lot of money. Luckily we have all the savings for the bill. We paid and asked to transfer her to Hospital Kuala Lumpur where she stayed for another 1.5 months. She was feeling much better, but she can’t see, can’t hear, can’t cry and unable-to-grow forehead due to seriously lack of oxygen to the brain when she was born.

At home, taking care of her as a special child, was a pleasure to us. We admit it was difficult but we enjoyed and truly honoured for being her parents. She can’t cry to signal her thirsty or hungry, so we had to feed her every 4 hours. She can’t use bottle, so we were using spoon to feed her milk. Her hands and legs need to be exercised twice a day to avoid being stiffed.

A day before she passed away, she was having a very high fever. We went to our regular clinic on a daily basis. The next morning, while everyone was still sleeping, she peacefully slept for good. That day was the most painfully sad day to us. It was on our 11th day of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. It was a heavy test on us. You can imagine how quiet our house were without her.

Yasmin Suraya, rest in peace ya. Papa and Mummy are missing you truly very much. We wish and pray that we are able to meet you one fine day in the next life.

The More Expensive Toys You Can Show Off, More Respect You’ll Get From Your Neighbour and Community

Here is a real story for you to swallow.

Imagine this. You are such a nice guy. Both your parents are retired primary school teachers, a truly middle-class way of living. You live with your wife and children, somewhere in Bukit Jelutong Shah Alam. This area is considered very exclusive and the residents are in between upper-middle class to super rich. Several ministers are staying in the same neighbourhood where sometimes you bumped into them during your Friday prayer or during your groceries shopping session. Most of your neighbours are at least late 40s or more, driving a Mercedes, BMW or Lexus in general.

Here is your part of the story. You are extremely happy with your life. Less problems, less busy, less monthly commitments and obviously some extra cash in the bank. You just drive just a Proton Perdana 2004 model, not so bad for a middle 30-year-old guy whose household income is approximately RM 10,000 a month. But the way you live your life, wear your attire, your house presentation, places where you and family usually have your meal doesn’t somehow reflect how much your net-worth really is. No one knows (except for your wife) that you have RM 250,000 cash in your banking account or mutual fund accounts. There are another few hundreds of thousand coming within a few months time which will make yourselves a half-millionaire even though you are just 35 years of age.

It is in your blood that showing off all the expensive toys such as cars, electric gates, overseas holiday trips, expensive school for your children, LCD television, etc is not necessary.

Here comes the best part. There are 2 of your neighbours who make you crazy. Both these neighbours of yours don’t have intention to get to know you. Earn their respect, far from it. They know that you live next to their house, but hell, not even slightest intention to say hello. In their eyes, you know that deep inside it, they are saying to you – Don’t bother talk or say hi to me. I am way richer than you, boy!

On the right side of your house, there is this guy (Chinese, early 50s) who has 3 cars, a new Mercedes Benz C-Class, a Peugeot 207 and a Toyota Vios. He talks to the rest of the neighbours, but not you. The other joker is living right behind your house. There is this Malay couple who works in Petronas and drives a 2006-model Honda Accord and a new Honda Civic. They think that they are so rich and don’t even talk to any of their neighbours.

Personally, we don't think these expensive toys are necessary for us to be happy. But, here is a question for you. Will you play their game, by buying yourselves a new 5-Series BMW somewhere next year or just take it easy by ignoring them completely?

Sicko

Michael Moore is one superb movie director. Remember the Fahrenheit 9/11 movie? He was the one who directed it. What a great stuff. Everyone in the western world was condemning those who were involved especially the Al-Qaeda, several Muslim countries as well as indirectly creating a ‘cold war’ with Muslims around the world. In this F 9/11 movie, he explained clearly (with facts too) what actually happens behind the September 11 tragedy. He surely did attack George W. Bush and his administration fiercely, claiming as if he was the one who planned it. If you haven’t really watch this movie, better get your lazy a** to the dvd store and buy one right away. It is an eye opener, seriously. By the way, where were you all these years?

Sicko’s concept is pretty much the same as Fahrenheit 9/11, which is also a documentary kind of movie. In this Sicko movie, he attacked the US’ healthcare systems, practice and regulations. He attacked on the system and how expensive it is to get medical attention as how it is killing it’s own people. He also did compare between the US and several other countries like France and also Cuba (the US worst enemy – that is what the government is telling their people, Cuba is bad). In these countries, the government is paying all the medical bills for their citizens via high taxes imposed.

It shares (with interviews and facts, of course) from the beginning and in details all the negative parts, processes, laws and regulations as far as the medical practice in United States is concerned. Everyone is paying high taxes too. And yet he shared how sucks the situations are, how the hospitals simply ‘throw’ out patients who are not able to pay the bills and the government are not taking any actions to these hospitals. He also shared how difficult several volunteered day-care centre (acting like a hospitals) that picks those ‘thrown-out’ patients up into their own care, giving them the treatment without any charges, free medications, free bed, etc.

He shared to the world that how inhuman a human can become, back in the United States. All these are due to money. If you have money or medical insurance coverage, yes you will be well treated. If no money or no medical insurance coverage, out you go. All these hospitals can say to you is “Take care of yourselves, we are sorry”.

In another segment, he interviewed several September 11 volunteers who helped victims out of under the buildings, giving a helping hand to the needy. These heroes somehow are not attached to any government agencies in the United States. After a few years after the September 11 help, these people began to suffer quite a number of health problems, such as serious asthma, chest pain, coughing, traumatized, and lots more.

Adding to their suffering, these volunteers were not covered by medical insurance and have no money. Some had to stop working due to their bad health. They were not working for the government, so they can’t seek government to help. Somehow at the time, the government said that they had allocated some USD50million for all volunteers to apply. But sad to say, the procedure is completely the opposite. The applicants needs to do lots of things, evidence of their help, medical reports, etc that makes it hard for all these volunteers to get the money. Some gave up, and had suffered for more than 9 years without any medication.

He then rented 2 boats and brought several of these volunteers to Guatanamo Bay (prison for Al-Qaeda members who were caught). In this place, all the medical attention, medicines and surgeries are top class and free of charge. He hopes to give these 9/11 heroes the same treatment (no more no less) as per what those Al-Qaeda members received. Sadly, the prison guards just ignore these boats and 'told' them to move on. Then Michael Moore brought them to Cuba.

These volunteers were surprised once they got themselves to Cuba. Each Cuban and guests can get medical attention for free-of-charge. FREE. They were welcomed there in the hospital and several were admitted for a few days. All of them were in tears, a happy one. In one of the pharmacy in Cuba, an inhaler (a medicine for the asthmatic people) were sold only for USD 5 cent compared to USD120 back in their own country, United States. “What an insult!”, according to one of the volunteer.

These are just a part of the story. Better watch the movie, still being aired in one of the Astro’s movie channel. Not too sure which one.

We believe Malaysia is not as bad as all these cases in the United States, but things happens in our country as well. So, better prepare yourselves. Please and please go and get at least a medical coverage for you and your family. Don’t wait till you are sick, because if you do, the insurance companies won’t insure you. Insurance is meant to take before you got sick..

Too Many Abused Children On The Road: Please Be Careful

Do you know that we are ranked as one of the top countries in the world for having the most road accidents? Together with our authorities’ style of enforcing the law by doing the season-based enforcements, it is just hopeless. Friends, we are really stuck here of being a good guy. The only thing that we can do now is to prepare ourselves against our own high-blood pressure in our next medical check up.

First, a portion of motor bikers (not all of them). We believe half of them are good citizens who obey the laws and being good boys. But are also quite a number of them who actually belong in jail. They are being stubborn, gangster-type of attitude, being a stupid a**hole, do not respect other road users, who think they are immortal and selfish, which perfectly fit to all criteria of an abused children. Somehow, these abused children are now adult and being granted a B2 driving license.

These jokers, most of the times they simply ignore the traffic lights, barge into the certain highways that meant for cars only and ignoring their own bikers lane, zigzagging themselves along the slow moving traffics, moving against the traffic flow, carrying 4-5 people in the same bike, didn’t wear any helmets, blablabla.. Here is another one, there are too many Indonesian who rode bikes lately. These Indonesian labours, do they have driving licenses? Interesting question..

Second, some of the car, bus and lorry drivers, of course. Just a few of them, who fit into these abused children criteria. You can find them everywhere. Here are some of the tips how to recognize them: The car drivers who love to jump queues, jump the traffic lights, tailing the car in front of them very close, being too slow in the fastest lane, overtaking the other car on the left side, drivers who parked their cars taking more than one parking lot, the one who doesn’t like to give signals before turning, those who just come out of a junction without looking left and right and the hit-and-run type.

It’s funny but true. These people have bad parents, the abusive ones. So don’t blame them, blame their parents. It is all their parents and law enforcers’ faults for not being able to identify them and putting them in jail.

When TV3 Reporter Is Faster Than The Ambulance

Read on folks, this was in the TV3 Buletin Utama Primetime News last week.

There was a hit-and-run accident involving a lorry and a motorbike somewhere along the NKVE last week. The bloody lorry driver, realizing that he hit someone, drove away leaving the poor guy behind. The motor biker, the one who got hit by that stupid lorry, was left lying right in the middle of the highway full of blood. He couldn’t move due to his severe injury, internally and externally.

We are pretty sure that passerby and member of the public called the 999 emergency number immediately and the police team was there right after that. TV3 reporters were there too. The best part is, the cameraman was showcasing this scary thing live during the news. It is said that, the motor biker was lying there for almost 1.5 hours (90 minutes) waiting for the damn ambulance to arrive.

The police and member of the public were not dare and able to move this victim to the roadside due to his serious injury. Everyone was waiting for the ambulance. It came 1.5 hours after that. Here is another best part, there were another ambulance came, and another too. There were 3 ambulances altogether.

Believe it or not, the victim passed away waiting (right before the first ambulance arrived). We offer our condolence and feel sorry to his relatives for what had happened. Moral of the story – silly things do happen in this country.

If this thing were to happen in the develop countries such as US or Europe, we are pretty sure that the relevant hospital, the ambulance company, 999 contact center and/or who ever involve in this thing will be sued big time by the guy’s relative.

To our friends out there, be careful while you are on the road. In this country, everything is moving pretty fast, except for the ambulance.

To the ambulance companies, relevant contact center who handles emergency calls, relevant government hospitals, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK (for being too slow) !

White Water Rafting – You Might Get Addicted

Check out this one. Last weekend, we went to Sungai Padas (Padas River) in Tenom, Sabah to experience one outdoor activity known as White Water Rafting. If you do not know what water rafting is, just see the picture below. You will get the entire picture.

Be careful okay. You might get addicted after try it.

Padas River is pretty damn far. We thought it was just around half-an-hour kinda journey but it was not. Actually, from Nexus Karambunai Resort (the hotel we were staying) in Kota Kinabalu to Tenom town takes us about 4 hours by bus. It’s very far, almost like a drive from Kuala Lumpur to Penang. Once we reached Tenom town, we took a classical train (no fan, no air-condition, no windows and full of local people who brought chicken, goats and other animals) to Padas River which also has a few small villages over there. That point, we feel exactly like in Bangladesh or Indonesia, really..

Anyway, this river is almost 20km long and it took us almost 2 hours to finish it from the starting point. Our boat was medium-sized, meant for 7 people whom 2 of us were the local instructors who acted as the boat ‘drivers’. The ‘journey’ was for sure an adrenalin-rush one and extremely fun. Dangerous? No, and far from it. Trust us.

Our journey was accompanied by at least one safety canoe just to make sure our trip will be an enjoyable one. Not forgetting, the organizer also had cameraman for each trip including this one. That is to make sure that we smile, although the river’s wave is close to 6 feet high!

We can still remember, there was one boat that went together with us that was capsized due to the high water rapid. Great stuff! It was very interesting to watch them fall into the river in front of our own eyes. Those who experience it must felt panic plus good plus full (they drank the water already we thought). After this one, they will definitely feel as confident as a pro. One of them already talks big, hell.

Our journey ends at a point which we can’t remember the name, which was then we were picked up by a speed boat. From there, we were headed to Beaufort town where our bus was waiting. From Beaufort town, another 4 hours journey back to our hotel.

A piece of advice. Don't ever be a drug addict, water rafting addict is okay !

Alumni Annual Gathering = A Place To Update Your Friends How Rich You Are

This is something to relate for everybody's own good. Eventually, it happens to our university's mates. Among all our friends, there are certain people who like to take advantage of this annual alumni gathering. Actually, this is one of the reason (besides being lazy) why we skip our university’s annual alumni gathering.

It is not that we aren’t supportive to the organizers committee who are also our friends. It is not also because we hate to see our ex-lecturers who gave bad credit to us before. We also do not mind paying for the food which is just around RM60 per head.

But to hear stories from certain group of people (so-called our friends also) who think they are more successful than others is a bit hard to swallow. It’s really a pain in the ear. We scared that our ear-drum will bleed because of their stories.

Here are among their favourite topics:
1. Where can I find a good nasi lemak shop in London?
2. Where is a good workshop for me to repair my Bimmer?
3. When is your next trip to New York, I want to catch up with you there?
4. How much did you buy your Lexus Harrier, I am planning to buy one as well this month?

Wuueekkkk!! really want to throw-up there and then.

Come on. We just want to catch up with friends, talking about our old study times before, share some jokes, catching up old memories, talking about football, etc. Not to compare how rich everybody are. We know that we are not at the same level as they are, but please. Give us a break.

Your Children, Can They Really Read?

Did you aware of this trend?

There are lots of cases, especially here in Klang Valley, those primary-schooling children can’t read and spell correctly. This trend is growing and if the parents still couldn’t care less about it, it can become serious.

Why is this happening? Easy, just ask their own parents why. All reasons will come back to them; it is their own fault. They are too busy chasing for money (either to survive or there is a need to be richer than their neighbors), working day in day out. Working extra hour, doing small part-time cookies business, supplying maids business, chasing for that top position in the multi-level marketing business, projects here and there, bla..bla..bla..

These parents routine, leave everything either to the maid or to the eldest children to take care of his or her younger sisters and brothers. Because of money, they come back home in the middle of the night, and going out before their own children wake up in the next day.

In the end, their own children can’t even spell “KUCING” (Bahasa Malaysia word for cat) or even VEGETABLE in English. Here is the best part, their child is already in Standard 4 or 5 and still can’t read or spell those simple words. And when someone said something to the parents, they replied “It is none of your business. My children are not like that!” Conversation stop.

So parents, please. Don’t be too protective of your children. Do decide something now or else, the situation will decide for you.

Malaysia: Good In Creating Laws, Sucks In Enforcing Them

Everyone knows this. Malaysian Government in general is good in creating and improving the law and its contents but eventually sucks in enforcing them. Blaming the government is just half of the story. The public also need to be taught on manners. Seems like Malaysian (some of them) can’t just be educated anymore. They need to be taught a lesson. A good and consistent enforcement is what we need in order to teach them.

There are too many examples that we can highlight here but don’t look far for those examples, just simply take a look at some simple stuff like rubbish littering and also drivers’ attitude in our roads.

Everywhere in Malaysia, we can see lots of rubbish. In the drain, in the middle of the road, in front of our house, in the parking lot, cinemas, in the river, beaches, everywhere. The most obvious ones are these 3 places. First, you can see it right after a night market near your area. 2nd place is right in front of your eyes while you are driving. Some jerks will throw something out of his or her car window. Finally, you can see the rubbish right under the “DON’T LITTER. FINE RM500” signboards near your place. (the attached picture is a taken from http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/p/m/3da1f2/)

In general, Malaysians are very warm, generous, helpful and friendly. But wait under they are behind wheels. Some can be really the opposite. They are reckless, impatient and crazy. They can drive way above the speed limits, drive themselves against the traffic flows, drive in the emergency lanes, cut queues, and some of them can become road bullies if he or she is not happy with the other driver.

Well Mr Government, let’s go back to basic. The only way to stop all these is only via a strict and consistent enforcement. Please have more ears and eyes outside there. CCTV is a very effective tool to do this rather than putting more plain-clothes policeman/authorities. The other way is maybe to have more ‘spies’ among public on your behalf. Don’t miss a single one.

These crazy people who throw rubbish and drive their cars like nobody’s business must pay for their attitudes. Stop educating them. Education can’t do much after years of trying and lots of taxpayers money spent.

Show Your Love, Or You Shall Live To Regret It

Answer these questions sincerely.
1. When was the last time you pay full attentions to your spouse and his/her stories?
2. When was the last time you and your spouse share stories and good laughs before bedtime?
3. When was the last time you and your spouse had some quality dinner or lunch together?
4. When was the last time both of you hold hands, kiss and say “I love you”?
5. When was the last time you say “I love you” to your children?
6. When was the last time you kiss and hug your children?
7. When was the last time you spend some quality times with your children together?
8. When was the last time you have breakfast, lunch and dinner together as a family?
9. When was the last time you say “I love you” to your parents?
10. When was the last time you have some quality times spent together with your parents?
11. When was the last time you spent some quality times together with your siblings?

We know, you love them very much. They meant everything to you. They are part of you. We are very sure that most of you are consistently doing these, but if some of you don’t have some good answers to all the simple questions above, well think of this question.

“What if these love ones of yours passed away suddenly?” So, don’t wait. Show them your love. Or live to regret it.

Malaysian Roads – Can Someone Important Up There To Seriously Look Into These Pot Holes?

Look at the picture attached to this article. Interesting right? Now, the sport rim is an original rim from Proton which is made with a strong and quality alloy. If a normal rim, it will definitely crack right after the hit.

Who shall we claim to when this thing happen to us? This is the problematic part. We think it should be the local authorities. But here is another problem. We believe the local authorities will put the blame on the main contractor. The main contractor will then blame the sub-contractor. The sub-contractor will blame back the main contractor for the small budget given to them to complete the task. Hell, there will be no end to this.

Therefore we wish to suggest that there are only 3 ways to do this. Definitely all of these options will involve money from your side. Before making your legal moves, take some pictures first of your broken sports rim and the pot hole itself. This is where a camera becomes handy.

1. Consumer Tribunal. Instead of wasting your money, time and fuel chasing those culprits yourselves, why don’t you spend your time complaint to the Consumer Tribunal. They will help you all the way.
2. Court of Law. If you have all the resources (money especially), just bring those culprits to the court of law. Maybe you can sue them for your time, stress, money and medication. Who knows, you may hit millions of ringgit jackpot if you win.
3. Just repair the sports-rim yourself. Pray to God that those culprit will get the repayment (or in-kind) someday.

Just remember. Always be alert while driving, drive safely and don’t drink and drive.

Give, And You Shall Earn It Back With More

We don’t have many examples to share with you, but definitely have a good one here. Let’s look at a few top wealthy people like Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey.

If you do not know, Warren Buffett is the richest man in the world. He is a self-made billionaire making his money via stocks. He had made a statement quite sometimes back saying that he is putting all his money into the Gates Foundation fund, a non-profit charity organization. Gates Foundations, will then donates their fund to the benefits of the world such as to the African poor countries, cancer research and lots more. So, what is his gain then? His net-worth is growing larger and larger. If you must know, he is one of a few who sign a US 5billion cheque and it gets cleared. Quite sometimes back, he topple Bill Gates to be the riches man in the world.

Bill Gates is a founder of Microsoft Corporation. He is the 2nd riches man in the world (just recently being overtaken by Warren Buffett). He is a co-founder of the Gates Foundations. He had also set aside millions of dollar annually to this foundation. His gain, Microsoft software are now the dominant globally. Try not to use any of Microsoft software, we will get stuck for sure.

Oprah Winfrey made her money via her Oprah Winfrey talk show and she was announced as the top celebrity billionaire in the world. Recently, she donated approximately USD 500 million to charity. That is awesome. Her gain, almost every woman in this world knows who Oprah is and her talk show is on average top in all ratings. In other words, the media organization will definitely want to purchase her products more and more due to the good ratings and more and more viewers are watching the show globally.

Interesting right? Yup.

When A Beggar Is Earning More Than Us

Take a look at this picture - this guy is earning more than you are. Surprise ! Surprise !

Do you know we are way poorer than the beggars out there who are asking for our money? Via their syndicate, they are earning at least RM 9,000 or more each month. Not only earning more than us, they are also having more money than us in their savings account. Here comes the best part – they are staying in a hotel.

These jokers are good in their acting. Their poor looking image are very tempting for us to give. So, DON’T GIVE.

If you really want to give and donate money, do it properly via the right channels. There are a lot of charity organizations out there, religious places, orphanage houses and schools, etc.

Too Many Foreign (Blue Collar) Workers – Can Someone Important Up There To Seriously Look Into These?

Recently during the Eid holiday, we notice almost every town in Malaysia was crowded with foreign workers mostly we think from Indonesia, Bangladesh and Myanmar. They were hanging out in the towns since they can't or didn't go back for the celebration, or don't even celebrate the Eid.

We were shocked! There are too many of them. Way too many. That is the first impression that we have, and a scary one. This is what happen when our own local youth are too choosy about jobs. A reaction to an action definitely. A negative one. No wonder the crime rate is getting worse. Here is the main source of it.

To the relevant minister and relevant authorities (Immigration and police), as a normal Malaysian citizen who loves our country, we beg you to do something about this fast if you are serious in preventing crime and minimizing crime rate in Malaysia.
Please do something urgently !

Do You Have Coins In Your Pocket?

Do you know that there is one part in the washing machine that is NOT covered in the warranty even though you sign for 5 years?

It is the Drum. The Drum is the one we put all our to-wash-clothes into. The main function is to do all the spinning (and its related) works. Yes, the washing machine itself can last more than 7 years if it is well taken care of, but not this piece. The Drum is very sensitive. That is why it is not covered in the warranty.

What are the things that can endanger the Drum? Only one. The culprit is the COINS, in our pants or shirts pockets. If we always forget or couldn’t care less to take them out, we are heading for trouble. Those coins will actually hit its wall thousands and thousands of times while spinning. These repetitions of hit will make its wall crack. When it cracks, the water will be leaked out of the machine.

If you just purchased a new washing machine and couldn’t care less about taking out the coins from the pocket, we can bet our last dollar that your washing machine’s drum will break in 3 months. To replace it, just call the vendor. They will be more than happy to do it at RM 250.00

Wanna bet?

In Any Action, There Will Definitely Be A Reaction

That is why we need to be careful in everything we say and each thing we do. Always think with our conscious head before anything. Or else there shall be consequences to it. It can be good and it can always be bad.

There are a lot of examples out there that you can relate them to. Not only that there will be reaction to all our actions, always remember one more thing. There is always ‘someone’ watching.

In God We Trust !

Are you religious?

Well, you should. We know that everybody has their friends and families behind them to help when unexpected things happen. However we always forget one thing. The one we should ask for help first is God.

HE is listening to us, watching us and will always there for us. It is just a matter of asking HIM to help, which we always forgot or neglect to do so. In everything we do from the time you woke up in the morning till you went to bed at night, HE must not be forgotten. During happy times as well as in the difficult times, HE must not be forgotten.

HE remembers you, so don’t forget about HIM. HE accepts your apology all the time, each time you ask for HIS forgiveness so don’t forget about HIM. HE gives you everything you want and didn’t give some of them due to reasons beyond our thinking, so don’t forget about HIM. HE gives you health, wealth and happiness so don’t forget about HIM.

HE will determine the results whether it is positive or otherwise. If positive then it is good to you and your planning for the next move. But if the result to your effort is not that positive, always think that there is always a reason behind it. Therefore, in other words, put all the efforts we can in all the things we do and then, always and always ask HIM for HIS consent and positive outcome.

Trust us, you’ll be surprised!

Friendship, What Does It Mean To You?

Does it mean a lot to you?

It does to you. Our friends mean everything to us. They are always there to help us out, giving us a helping hand when we need them and the most important thing is they are always there to support us. Our circle of friends are not coming from one race only, but a combination of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Sikh, Westerners, Indonesians, mixed-blood and a few more. We are very sure that your circles of friends are as per ours.

As of late, there are several politicians from the government as well as from the opposition side tried to play racist game, which we think is totally crazy. To us, this is a serious matter. No one will gain anything by making these racist issues big and public especially with those jokers who loves to make press statements.

All these racists’ matters are all known to everyone, each living citizens in Malaysia. If these things are highlighted, make it big with press statement, there will be no ending to this. More and more negative things will be come up to the surface which will then make everybody angry. When angry comes to its limit, and then comes the actions. If we really need and unavoidably must discuss it, please do it behind a closed door.

To us, irregardless of which race we are, the friendship among all of us must not be disturbed with this issue. We need each other to live in the country and this world peacefully.

Let us sit down quietly and evaluate ourselves, which area that we can improve ourselves. Improve ourselves with our relationship with god and religious, with our parents, our own wife and family, our neighbours, our friends, our office colleagues and everyone we know. At the same we must make new friends and extend our friendship too. Make this relationship a quality, positive and a happy one.

The stronger our relationship is with all our friends and families, not only everybody shall gain all the benefit from this, our country will also be stronger, united and harmony. No one will be able to disturb us. Even if there are, those disturbances to us and our country will be handled in just a piece of cake.
We are not sure why it is so difficult to those narrow-minded politicians to think maturely, just like everyone else.

When PhD + Low Mentality = A Good Joker

Dr. Salmah, 20-plus-year-old lady is very proud of her own achievement being a PhD holder. Her head is getting bigger when her parents, being their favourite and the only super-achiever child, using her as a benchmark/example of everything, mentioning her name in almost every conversation among families even though most of her siblings (10 of them) are degree and masters holders themselves. When she was officially announced by some educational authorities that she is the youngest PhD holder in Malaysia to date, her big head is up in the sky. It went out of control when her pictures were everywhere in the dailies (Malay-language) for a few weeks. No one can ‘touch’ her and hubby, as they have their immunity well secured.

To cut the story short, here is the scenario 1 of 3 (actually we have more). Salmah, Zaki (the husband) and their 2 small children as well as her Indonesian maid who live in Kuala Lumpur, went back to Salmah hometown in Johor to celebrate the Eid. Meet all her family members back home for Eid celebration is the most enjoyable part for all including her. After spending 2 days in Salmah’s home town, now it’s her hubby’s turn. Going back to Zaki’s home town in Kelantan takes 8 hours of driving. They decided to spend a night in a hotel in Kuantan on their way back. Guess what happen? They went off without the maid, leaving her in Johor on her own. The maid also doesn’t know who she shall follow back to Kuala Lumpur soon. Why, because if the maid follows they need to take 2 hotel rooms instead of one. Money is saved. Then on their way, she gave a call to one of her elder sister to help bring the maid back to Kuala Lumpur. So, if she gives a last minute call to someone for help bring the maid back, the person has no choice but to help her out. Nice moves for a PhD holder.

Scenario 2 of 3 goes like this. Before the Eid celebration and Ramadhan fasting month, the couple went to Medan Indonesia for a few days. To make their holiday plan interesting, they invited her beloved mother and father to join her and family. The parents went to Kuala Lumpur to join Salmah from Johor via one of their son, Zain who is having something to attend there. Off they go to Medan holidaying. After spending a few good days there, they came back. The day they are back in Kuala Lumpur is the first day of Ramadhan, means the first day of the fasting month. The parents then need to go back to Johor. Wanna know how Salmah’s parent went back to their house in Johor? She asks them to take the god damn express bus, with 3 hours journey, with empty stomach (due to fasting). Interesting? You bet.

Scenario 3 of 3. Imagine this. You are a government servant, earning approx. RM 4000 and your husband is earning another RM 4,000 in gross incomes. You are staying (renting actually) in a not-so-rich kind of neighbourhood. This makes you just a normal average-earning middle-class person. Then you have a maid at home. If you do have a maid at home, do you ask your maid to call you ‘Tuan’ and ‘Puan’? Yes if you are a super rich person, but we bet you won’t do such things even that, degrading another human being who works for you to feed her family back home. Well, she did.

All her siblings are already declaring war (quietly) on her. But still, the parents is very proud of her..

Our Customers Are Mostly Individuals, Students and Small Business Organizations !

Dear Friends,

This article is just to highlight to all our visitor friends that our payment term is only cash. We shall collect the cash payment once we complete our repair services. We are not accepting cheques, credit cards, or any other payment terms.

That is why 90% of our customers in general are individuals, students and small business entities, as they are able to do this type of payment. We are also being offered to do quite a number of large repair jobs however we have no choice but to decline those offers due to the payment matter. These large organizations are not as flexible as individuals and small business entities, as they need to be invoiced and wait for 30-days or so before the payment is being released.

Why cash? Easy, because we want to focus our jobs in solving all our customers' PC and laptop problems. That is the only reason. We just don't have the time and resources to focus on other things such as payment collections and reminding activities on the outstandings. The most thing we try to avoid - long delay or bad debt from customers !

Do You Think It's Time To Have Quality CCTVs Outside There ?

Lately, we have come across too many crazy, weird and disgusting things happen before our eyes while driving. We know you too will agree with us. Want to know what are the things, here you go:

1. Bloody mat rempit (not sure which kampung they are coming from) doing the street bike racing and disturbing people
2. Stupid small motorbikers who don't know the purpose of traffic light.
3. Kampung-minded car drivers and passengers who throw rubbish out of their vehicle like nobody's business
4. Those bloody car drivers who are always 'rushing' and cut-queues
5. Sick-minded immigrants and locals peeing by the road-side
6. Those god-damn snatch-thiefs bikers

The thing is, all these jokers are spoiling not only our mood, view, city and country, but also disgracing their own parents name and their own race. Not to mention, their over-protective parents are also partly to be blamed for all these. Their sons and daughters are always right no matter what.

Can't we just hang them as a punishment? Wo wo ! Maybe that is too harsh although we really their guts. Personally, the best solution perhaps is to lock them up in jail maybe for a month, then do community services for another 11-months. Driving license to be revoked for 3-year after released. With this method, we believe the government can:

1. Limit those Indonesians from spreading their headcounts here in Malaysia
2. Send back some and those Indonesians back home (seems too crowded now).
3. Save our taxpayers money (make their community services as free) a lot each year and help to pay our medical expenses instead.
4. Our towns, old-folk houses, public toilets, drains, etc are clean and well-maintain.
5. Teach those over-protective parents a lesson.

But how are we going to nab them? We don't think the police alone can do something right away to prevent this. They just have too many works and cases to solve, and I don't think they have a lot of hands and legs left as well. And yet, there are still a lot of bribery is going on out there.

That is why we need an efficient way and tools to do this. Maybe the best way to nab these culprits is via a good quality and feature-rich CCTVs. Get those jokers recorded with their act on it. Get those CCTV connected via Internet Protocol (IP) from the control centre somewhere right to each CCTV installed all over Klang Valley. Create a division within the police department to focus on this operations daily. And one more thing, get those existing CCTVs around out there to connect with this control centre as well.

With this being done systematically, it can easily solve a lot of things. Maybe half of the crimes can be easily solve. What do you think?

Having A Lot of Money Problems Lately? All You Need Is A Way Out - Here Is How.

Each of us has different kind of problems. That is for sure. But in most cases, it's financial. All we need is just a good solution. A good and win-win solution, to us as well as to the bank.

Well. In order for us to think of a way out or good win-win solution, we need to have a healthy and strong brain and heart. Or else, you will colapse in no time. The pressure is pretty high especially if the problems involve our financials. High pressure is due to the fact that it also involves our personal dignity and image as well as our spouse and children.

Only 5 things you may need to do:

For the brain and heart, exercise everyday preferrably with weights - you need a brain that give you great solution (a way out). Exercise everyday will boost the brain and heart cells to work harder as heart will pump more blood to the brains and body parts. Your brain and heart need muscle too you know - to work for you. You'll be surprised with the result and you can enjoy your sleep without night sweating ever again.

For sexy body shape - skip a meal. You eat too much! With a good combination of everyday exercising, eat less (either skip a meal if you are on 3 times daily eating habit or reduce the food content per meal if you are on frequent small meals a day routine) can help you not only to get a sexy body shape faster, but also reduce your daily cost on food.

For positive cashflow - don't spend the money you don't have. Let everyone you know owns a credit card, owns a house, owns a BMW or Mercedes Benz, plays golf, go to overseas for holidays but not you. Just spend only what you have. At least we can have a good night sleep.

For regular savings and debt payment - spend only 80-85% of your earning. 5-10% save and 10% pay debt. It is easier said than done, but you have no choice but to do it. Unless if you wish to be like this situation forever till you die. Then, worst if you irresponsibly pass on these problems to your children (if you don't own insurance policy). If you have a real large debt to clear that can't be solved from your existing monthly income, then you need to have another job (part-time) to fasten the debt repayment process. This additional money will definitely help. Yes, you may not have time for your family but at least this is a temporary measure.

For a confirm results - please ask God for help. If not then you should. If you are a muslim, pray consistently 5 times a day both during good and bad times. As for non-muslim, do seek help from HIM in ways it should be. We are only human. With HIS help, the result will be ensured, but of course with all the effort from us. You'll be surprised with the results.

You Have RM300 Extra Every Month. Should You Pay Off Some Loans Or Invest ?

You Have RM300 Extra Every Month. Should You Pay Off Some Loans Or Invest ? Frankly, lately this question is bugging us for an answer. RM300 is a lot of money to a middle-class person like us. But it is not about the RM300, but it is about whether to invest or pay-off some loans if we have surplus in our income.

From our personal survey, the answers are 50-50. Some say, better for you to invest. Once you consistently invest this money every month and re-invest in what-ever profit or dividend that you gain from this investment, you'll be able to pay-off all your debts or loans faster. Even faster than you pay extra monthly.

Some disagree. It is better for you to pay-off that loans extra and consistently on a monthly basis. With this extra, your loan's period will definitely be significantly reduced (it will be very obvious if your loan's interest is calculated based on the balance amount left rather than a fixed one).

What do you think?

Nokotta !

Mr Honda-san said "the real enemy may not be the one in front of you, maybe it is within you". This is the meaning of Nokotta (a japanese word).

The meaning is very deep, isn't it? We definitely can learn something from this word.

Mr Honda-san is actually one of the character in this movie called 'Sumolah', directed by Malaysia's very own director Afdlin Shauki. Have you really seen the movie? No, we thought so. Perhaps, you can spend some time to watch this movie, recommended by us.

You'll like it, that is for sure.

If You Are The Prime Minister...

Dear Friends,
To be a Prime Minister of Malaysia is one hell of a tough job. Share with us (in the comment area) what will be your top five (5) things that you want to do (or change the existing ones) if you are the prime minister, which you think are very important and necessary.
Your idea might help our PM (present one or the new one if any) in his moving forward strategy. Well, what are you waiting for, give us some thought right away ! Go to the comment area now !
PS: Of course, your idea must be reasonable and practical okay.

Family Comes First !

This is as a reminder for you (those who are married with kids especially).

Have you watch one of Adam Sandler's movie called "Click". Ala, he was playing a husband and father to his family that has remote control that can fast-forward and skip a few years to the future. He is too obsessed with his work and completely ignore his family. Everytime he faced some small problems with his wife, he will click to fast forward his life. Each problem, he clicks.

A damn good movie. Although it is a simple movie but definitely there is something to learn there (at least to us). Yes, our work is very important to us in generating income and money to survive in this crazy world. Yes, our work is very important to us in feeding our family and pay those bills. But if you are too obsessed with work and neglect your wife and children completely, maybe it is time for you to go back to basic.

Back to basic to a real happiness in life. A true happiness that goes directly to your soul. Don't wait until you lost them forever and regret it your entire life ya.
Not quite understood what we are saying? Well, kinda hard for us to explain it here - just go and watch the movie will ya?

Are You An Investor?

Well, this question is very interesting.

As you all know, there are 3 types of investing that we think are the top chosen ones. There are:
1. Stocks
2. Real-Estate
3. Business

These 3 investment vehicles will definitely set you for life, if you do it 'correctly'. We just want you to know the degree of difficulty of being an investor, in a lay-man term. Here are what you might want to consider before deciding which one would fit you nicely.

Stocks
It's like you are on a boyfriend-girlfriend mode. When you really love a guy or girl, you get yourself hooked up. Maybe 6-month, a year or more. But when you feel you don't like him or her anymore, you can just easily stop the relationship right away. In stocks, if you like the stocks you buy them and when you don't like it anymore, it is easy to sell. Really easy. The ROI is not bad at all.

Real-Estate
This is like you are married to someone. It cost you money upfront, needs some money to maintain it and cost you a lot as well if you are divorced. Real estate or properties are a bit hard to release when you need to regain your investment. It will take time, longer than stocks. The ROI is sometimes much better than stocks, but in some cases you might lose a lot of money.

Business
This is the most interesting among all. It is like you are married with kids. Imagine yourself the good and the not-so-good moments. Eventhough, there are headache, problems, etc. but the ROI is the best among these 3 (it can go more than 1000%) but again you can loose a lot as well.

So, how?
